The OZ Bicycle Club of Wichita, Kansas is one of the oldest and largest cycling clubs in the midwest.  We have members from more than 59 Kansas communities and seven other states.  Oz is truly a "full service" club, offering our members an array of interests.  We sponsor regular touring and ATB rides. Our monthly meetings are held year-round.

Our club's biggest annual event is the Wicked Wind 100, on the weekend after Mother's Day every year.  (Mark your calendars for the weekend of May 18 and 19, 2013;  we'll have events Saturday and Sunday.) The Wicked Wind has grown to a "must do" ride for cyclists from all over the region.  It offers something for riders of any ability, with 25-, 50-, and 100-mile routes.

Hello fellow Ozzies,

Here we are in the month of May. Winter did not seem to want to surrender to make way for Spring. But Spring is finally here.

May is Bike month so please go out and enjoy some of our club rides. We have rides on most days of the month. Sometimes we have 2 or 3 rides scheduled on the same day. There is a ride out there for everyone. So go out and participate on one of the fun rides we have scheduled.

The Wicked Wind ride is scheduled in Haysville this month. The pre rides will be on Saturday May 18 and the big Ride is scheduled for Sunday May 19. We have rides scheduled for 25, 50 and 100 miles. Lunch will be served at the Haysville com-munity center building. So it will be great fun as always. Final packet pickup will be at 6:00 AM Sunday. The 100 mile and 50 mile will start at 7:30 AM. The 25 mile will start at 8:00 AM. See you there.

Wicked Wind 100 has expanded to become a two day event!

We are staging from Haysville, KS only 8 miles south of Wichita off I-35.

Ride To Breakfast Ride 8:00 am, Ride with Oz Club members to one of our favorite breakfast spots, enjoy your meal then return to Haysville. UNSAGGED

Family Ride 11:00 am, Families with small children, Haysville has a great "Hike and Bike" Trail, SAGGED

Velo Swap 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Bring all your "extra" bike stuff. Here’s a chance to swap, buy or sell!! Who knows, maybe you have that item someone else has been looking for!

Moonlight Ride 8:30 PM, We have ride leaders to guide you through the Kansas countryside after dark---Great fun! (bring headlights and flashers) UNSAGGED

Tent camping available near the city swimming pool. The pool will not be open for swimming, but the showers and re-strooms are open. RV camping is welcome, but there are NO HOOK-UPS, there is a dump station available.

Wicked Wind 100 has added a metric century to the tour as well as the 25, 50 and 100 mile routes we have always done.

Watch for your registration brochure in the mail, pick up one at local bicycle shops or register online at www.ozbikeclub.com beginning April 1, 2013.

Online registration for this year's Wicked Wind 100 is now closed.  You may register Sunday, on-site.
